-The purpose of life is to serve other people. To do something of benefit for other people. From that point of view, a difficulty is really a great opportunity.
-If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.
-I believe that individuals can make a difference in society. Since periods of change such as the present one come so rarely in human history, it is up to each of us to make the best use of our time to help create a happier world.
-The main cause of suffering is egoistic desire for one’s own comfort and happiness.
-I believe that the very purpose of our life is to seek happiness. That is clear. Whether one believes in religion or not, whether one believes in this religion or that religion, we all are seeking something better in life. So, I think the very motion of our life is towards happiness.
-Compassion is the essence of spiritual life. True spirituality is a mental attitude that you can practice anytime.
-Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.
-Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive.
